SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was just another Saturday, no big deal, usual morning routine. Brady had a soccer game this morning. We sat up our chairs, put Izzie on the blanket and began our usual "motivational" chants......"go Brady!" "Kick it Brady" "Get in there Brady" "Good job Brady". It has been fun watching him play soccer this year. It was fun last year when he played soccer and tball both for the first time. He still has so much to learn since he's only 5. He likes soccer, but hasn't been very aggressive during games. He gets in front of the ball, but doesn't often kick it. I think he likes just running around with the other kids. But today was different. He really got in there and was tons more aggressive than he'd been before. Then all of the sudden he had the ball out in front of the rest of the kids, headed for the goal. The next thing I knew he kicked it in! I think Ricky and I both threw our hands up and yelled at the same time! It was one of the most awesome feelings! Then it hit me! HE'S GROWING UP! Right before my eyes, he's growing up! Then I got all teary eyed.... and continued to get teary-eyed each time the rest of the day when I thought about him scoring that goal! My baby boy scored a goal! What's next?? How will I ever survive the many, many other great accomplishments to come? I always knew I'd be an emotional mom, but swore I wouldn't be one of those constantly crying, overly dramatic moms..... yeah whatever!
