Hoping to add to our family!
Dear Potential Birthmother,
We want to start by thanking you for reading our letter and for making the decision to continue your pregnancy. We have a great amount of respect for you and your hopes for the future of your child and for yourself. It must take a great amount of courage to decide to carry your baby for nine months and then place it with another family. We want to reassure you that your child will receive all of our love, and we will work very hard to fulfill all of his or her needs and dreams. We are grateful you are considering adoption, and we are even more grateful that you are considering us to be that family you trust with your child.
We have been blessed by adoption once already. Our son, Brady, has been our pride and joy from the moment he was born. We were fortunate to have met Brady’s birthmother, and we got to know many things about her, which we will be able to share with Brady as he grows. We continue to send letters and pictures to Brady’s birthmother through an agency. I have saved all of the letters and pictures she has shared and I am putting them in an album for Brady to learn about where he came from. She was our angel who has given us the greatest gift we could ever imagine. We are very excited to experience this miracle once again.
We have learned the hard way to not take things for granted. Through two deaths of very, very close family members, Rick’s brother and Kim’s mom, we have learned that we must appreciate all that we have. We will very much appreciate the life we hope to share with your baby. We have a solid relationship, which started as friends when we were eleven years old. We have also had the experience of parenting a teenager since we were the guardians of Kim’s teenage brother until he moved away to college. We know what it’s like to have someone else in our home that depends on us on a twenty-four hour basis and looks to us for guidance and support.
We have so much love to offer your baby. Ricky is a hardworking and caring husband and father. His great sense of humor keeps our household fun. Kim is a loving wife and mother and is dedicated to children on a daily basis as she teaches and nurtures fifth graders. Our jobs allow us to spend summers and other holidays at home together as a family.
We will talk openly and share with your child the information we receive about you. We want your child to know that you made this decision because you do care and you want this baby to have the best life possible. We will make sure that he or she knows that we respect you and that if it had not been for you, we would not have had this addition to make our family complete. We will also share pictures and information with you as your baby grows as long as you want to receive them. We wish you a healthy and safe pregnancy and also a very bright future.
Sincerely, Rick and Kim

These are two well deserving and focused parents! I give what ever praise and acknoledgement to Kim and Rick. They both have my support.
Kim and Ricky are the most well balanced couple that I have had the pleasure of knowing. I have been included in their lives and know that they are loving, nurturing parents. Brady is such a wonderful child and no two people could have given him more love than Kim and Ricky.
Being Kim's aunt makes me a little biased, but she and Ricky could not be any better at parenting with Brady than if they had birthed their own child. Brady is well adjusted and much loved. I pray that you will give them a chance to love your child as much.
